Our bag, satchel and backpack collection is an innovative combination of natural materials – vegetable tanned saddle leather, cotton canvas (dyed and finished in Manchester) and hardwood.
Every bag incorporates real hardwood parts – Ash or Walnut - grown and harvested in Britain.
Ash is a native British tree. Light in colour and weight, the wood is very durable and has been used for centuries to make carriages, tools and oars. The Walnut tree was brought to England by the Romans. Its darker timber has an exquisite grain and is used by the finest furniture makers.
We cut, hand finish and oil each part to bring out the unique grain and character of these beautiful woods. Each and every one is individual and unique.
Using a combination of English waxed bridle hide and beautifully supple Italian vegetable tanned leather we have created a collection of quintessentially modern British wallets. Whether you prefer a coat wallet or a more compact billfold we can offer a stylish product to meet your requirements.
It takes many months of training and practice for our production staff to reach the level of skill and craftsmanship required to make our wallets. Each piece is meticulously checked and then carefully assembled and stitched until the wallet is complete. This expertise allows us to make both turned edge (where the outside leather is folded over the lining) and cut edge wallets (where the raw edges are polished and coloured).
Our turned edge wallets (Fleet, Frome and Dart) come in 3 colours each with a contrasting leather lining. A modern twist is to incorporate some of the outside bridle leather into the lining which results in a stylish counterpoint.
Lune is our cut edge billfold. A clean geometric edge is achieved by repeated careful polishing and painting. Made entirely from English waxed bridle leather it is a triumph of simplicity and fine materials.
